Waluga Reservoir 2 (WR2) Construction Update

Roof shoring support has begun!

Now that the walls are complete, work has begun on the roof support. Next week, crews will continue to set-up roof shoring, and form the roof hatches and vents. They will also apply rubber along the top of the wall to help seal the reservoir once the roof is complete. The outside walls of the reservoir are set to be stripped and painted next week, however, this depends on the weather.

Beginning the first week of November, neighbors can expect to see several deliveries of steel in preparation for the final reservoir roof pour in mid to late November.

Barge carrying pipeline for Lake Oswego-Tigard Water Project arrives in Gladstone

In the news...

A barge carrying thousands of feet of pipeline traveled up the Willamette River on Thursday to make a special delivery in Gladstone.

The steel pipeline, which was welded into 240 foot lengths at Advanced American Construction in North Portland, will soon be pulled through a .75 mile-long underground tunnel beneath the Willamette River.

Boaters urged to use caution on the Willamette River during pipeline project

In the news...

The Oregon State Marine Board and the city of Lake Oswsego are urging boaters to use extreme caution while boating on the Willamette River between Meldrum Bar and Clackamette Park from Oct. 14 through Nov. 14.

Water Treatment Plant Construction Update

Finished water pump station and clearwell – south and center of site

Exterior coating has been applied for the finished water pump station and the area around the structure has been backfilled. This week, crews started filling the clearwell tank for the water test, which continues over the next few weeks.
