Structural work continues for the plant’s new administration building

Information about onsite work includes:

Administration building – north of site

Crews have poured the second story slab for the administration building and, this week, have been working on the second story shear walls (pictured right). Over the next few weeks, structural steel and decking will be placed for the second story and framing for interior walls will be installed for the first story. During the structural steel work, neighbors may notice an intermittent metal-on-metal like noise as crews install the steel and rebar.

Pipe construction set to begin next month in George Rogers Park

This update includes construction work in the following areas:

  • State Street, Foothills Road, Oswego Village Shopping Center – restoration and cleanup work
  • Durham Street – pipeline construction moving steadily along!
  • Ladd Street and George Rogers Park – construction starting early November!
  • State Street crossing and McVey Avenue – construction to begin soon
  • McVey Avenue pipe bridge – pouring footings

Waluga Reservoir Ribbon-Cutting Celebration

On Oct. 9, the Lake Oswego Tigard Water Partnership hosted a ribbon-cutting and celebration event to mark the end of construction for Waluga Reservoir 2 and related site improvements.

Neighbors, staff and crews gathered to hear Lake Oswego Mayor Kent Studebaker and Tigard Mayor John Cook discuss the importance of the new water system, mark this significant milestone, and thank neighbors for their patience during construction. Attendees were also treated to site tours, which highlighted the reservoir’s seismic resiliency and new system features.
