Water Treatment Plant Construction Update
Work is continuing on construction of the good neighbor fence, and should be complete by the end of September. Installation of the erosion control fence and additional traffic signage is also continuing over the next month.
The site is now being prepared for excavation of temporary staging areas for equipment and jobsite offices. Over the next month, equipment and supplies, including a forklift, excavators, track hoes and work trailers will begin arriving on site.
Excavation of the temporary staging area for jobsite offices to be located west of the Plant, will start the week of September 9. Soil, brush and rock will be removed from the site using dump trucks. The ground will then be cleared, leveled and rocked, to prepare for temporary roads and site offices. Once this is complete, excavation of the underground water reservoir (clearwell) can begin.
City of West Linn code approved work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Generally, during the next three weeks work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, and no Saturday work. To minimize traffic impacts, vehicles will generally enter the site from Mapleton Drive and exit from Kenthorpe Way.
During this work, neighbors can expect some noise and an increase in truck traffic as equipment arrives, and soil is removed from the site. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
