Water Treatment Plant Construction Update and Meeting Reminder

Work is continuing on excavation of the underground reservoir (clearwell) which should be complete by the end of October.

Over the next two weeks, some small holes will be drilled in the ground to test soils in preparation for temporary piping. Once this is complete, excavation will start for some temporary piping to be installed.

Beginning late next week, the contractor will start saw-cutting two existing lagoons at the east of the water treatment plant site. This is to prepare for installing piping to the lagoons, which will be used for temporary water overflow and a settling pond. Large pieces of concrete, rocks and debris will be removed from the lagoons and stockpiled for later on-site crushing and recycling. This work is expected to take about two weeks to complete.

During this work, neighbors can expect an increase in noise during work hours. Work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
