Tree removal starting at Waluga Reservoir 2 site

Starting after January 14, workers will begin setting up tree protection and erosion control fencing at the Waluga Reservoir 2 site at 4800 Carman Drive, in preparation for tree removal.

Tree removal will begin the week of January 20 and should be complete by the end of February. Approximately 200 trees were approved for removal by the Development Review Commission in October 2013 through the land use process.

Neighbors can expect to see crews of workers, a chipper, a large front end loader for feeding logs into the wood chipper and dump trucks to haul wood chips off site. Most crews and equipment will access the site from 4800 Carman Drive. At times, some crews and trucks may need to access the site from Parkhill Drive. Neighbors may hear noise from chain saws and wood chippers. Generally, work hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The work will be completed by Tree Care Unlimited.
