River Intake Construction Update

The first 30 feet of the RIPS walls formed in the cofferdam

The first 30 feet of the RIPS walls formed in the cofferdam

The river intake pump station walls are taking shape! The first 30 feet of walls are now formed with concrete in the cofferdam.

This week, work will begin on forming the structural interior pump walls. Starting on Thursday, a large concrete pour will occur around the interior forms. This should take about two days to complete.

Neighbors can expect some noise and an increase in truck traffic during the concrete pour, as 12-15 concrete trucks come and go. Generally, during the next three weeks, work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Once the concrete is poured for the interior walls, crews will form the next 15 feet of exterior walls. Reinforced bar will also be added to support the walls.

We apologize for the inconvenience construction may cause and thank you for your patience as work progresses.
