Tree removal starting at the end of Mapleton Drive
Starting the week of January 20, workers will begin removing trees at the horizontal direction drilling (HDD) staging area at the end of Mapleton Drive, just north of Mary S. Young Park, in preparation for water pipeline construction. Tree removal should take about three days to complete. Removal of 18 trees was approved by the City of West Linn’s land use decision for the pipeline.
Neighbors can expect to see workers with chain saws, a chipper and dump trucks to haul wood chips off site. Crews and equipment will access the site from Mapleton Drive.
Neighbors may hear noise from chain saws and wood chippers. Generally, work hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The work will be completed by Tree Care Unlimited.
