East Waluga Park and Quarry Road

Construction of the 24” pipeline in the East Waluga parking lot is progressing well!
This week, crews began installing a small section (about 80 feet) of pipe in Quarry Road, between the East Waluga parking lot entrance and Douglas Way. Workers will remove the temporary trench patch when piping is complete, and repave with a smoother, more drivable surface. This work should be complete early next week. Work hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please watch for flaggers.
Next week, crews will begin work on improving the storm drainage in the East Waluga Park parking lot. Once this is complete, the parking lot area will be restored and gravel placed along park trails that were disturbed during construction. Reseeding and plantings will occur later in spring. The parking lot, with a newly paved surface, will reopen in time for spring activities.

Lanewood Street

Repaving work along the new storm line in Lanewood Street was completed today. Construction of the large water pipeline along Lanewood Street is expected to begin in March. Temporary road detours will be in place for this work. Neighbors will be notified once construction dates are more firm.

Iron Mountain Boulevard – staging area

Over the next two weeks, crews will begin setting up a construction staging area located on Iron Mountain Boulevard, near the Lake Oswego Hunt Club. This involves delivering equipment and installing site fencing. The staging area will be used throughout the remainder of the year during pipeline construction.

Iron Mountain Boulevard – sewer line relocation

Work is continuing along Iron Mountain Boulevard between Pine Valley Road and Berwick Road to relocate a sanitary sewer pipe. Once the pipe is relocated, crews will remove the temporary trench patch and repave. This work should be complete by February 14. A single-lane closure is in place during work hours (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) on Iron Mountain Blvd. between Pine Valley Road and Berwick Road to accommodate equipment. Please watch for flaggers.

Twin Fir Road – sewer line relocation

From February 10 through February 25, crews will be working along a portion of Twin Fir Road between Upper Drive and the south leg of Douglas Circle to relocate a sanitary sewer pipe. Work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During this time, the road will remain open but flaggers will guide traffic through the area. Neighbors can expect to see an excavator, dump trucks, a small roller for paving and pickups.

Chandler Road – sewer line relocation

The sanitary sewer line along Chandler Road between Iron Mountain Boulevard and 10th Street will be relocated during February 10 – 25. Work hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During that time, the road will remain open but flaggers will guide traffic through the area. Steel plates will be placed on the roadway at the end of each day to cover up the trench opening. The trench will be repaved after the pipe is relocated. Neighbors can expect to see an excavator, loader, dump trucks, a small roller for paving and pickups.

Lake Oswego Hunt Club

During late February and early March crews will be working on the Lake Oswego Hunt Club property on Iron Mountain Boulevard installing a new water pipeline. Most of the work will take place on the Hunt Club property, but a water connection will be required in Iron Mountain Boulevard. During the connection, appropriate traffic control measures will be in place.
