East Waluga Park - parking Lot
Next week, crews will be working to restore the parking lot area in East Waluga Park by digging out the parking lot asphalt and placing rock and gravel throughout. The parking lot will then be repaved with a smoother surface once the weather improves. Neighbors can expect to see an increase in truck traffic along Quarry Road as dump trucks arrive and leave the parking lot.
Construction of the large water pipeline along Lanewood Street is expected to begin in early March and take about three weeks to complete. Temporary road detours will be in place for this work, so please watch for flaggers. Access will be allowed for local traffic only.
Douglas Circle and Upper Drive - pipeline construction
Crews will progress laying the large pipeline along the southerly leg of Douglas Circle, then onto a portion of Upper Drive, after work is complete along Lanewood Street.
Iron Mountain Boulevard – sewer line relocation
Work is continuing along Iron Mountain Boulevard between Pine Valley Road and Berwick Road to relocate a sanitary sewer pipe. Once the pipe is relocated, crews will remove the temporary trench patch and repave. This work has been delayed due to weather and ground conditions, and should be complete in late February. A single-lane closure is in place during work hours (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) on Iron Mountain Blvd. between Pine Valley Road and Berwick Road to accommodate equipment. Please watch for flaggers.
Chandler Road – sewer line relocation DELAYED
Work to relocate the sanitary sewer line along Chandler Road between Iron Mountain Boulevard and 10th Street has been delayed until February 24 to March 7, due to the recent weather. Work hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During that time, the road will remain open but flaggers will guide traffic through the area. Steel plates will be placed on the roadway at the end of each day to cover up the trench opening. The trench will be repaved after the pipe is relocated. Neighbors can expect to see an excavator, loader, dump trucks, a small roller for paving and pickups.
Twin Fir Road – sewer line relocation DELAYED
Due to the recent weather, the sewer line relocation scheduled to begin on Twin Fir Road between Upper Drive and the south leg of Douglas Circle has been delayed. Work will now begin late February and continue through mid March. Work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During this time, the road will remain open but flaggers will guide traffic through the area. Neighbors can expect to see an excavator, dump trucks, a small roller for paving and pickups.
Lake Oswego Hunt Club
This week, work started on the Lake Oswego Hunt Club property on Iron Mountain Boulevard to install a new water pipeline. Most of the work will take place on the Hunt Club property, but a water connection will be required in Iron Mountain Boulevard, which will take place mid next week. During the connection, appropriate traffic control measures will be in place. Please watch for flaggers.
We apologize for the inconvenience this work may cause and thank you for your patience as construction progresses.
