Work crews in your neighborhood
During the first week of March, technicians will be working near the Oswego Creek Bridge on McVey Ave., in portions of George Rogers Park, along Durham Street and on B Ave., between 9th and 10th Streets as part of the Lake Oswego Tigard Water Partnership pipeline project. They will be completing a “shovel test” survey to determine if archaeological deposits are present near future pipeline route options. This research will help determine future pipeline construction efforts. Work hours will be 8 a.m to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Once shovel tests are complete along Durham Street, technicians will begin removing patches of pavement and digging exploratory holes in the roadway. This work is expected to start from March 10 and take about two weeks to complete. During this time, there will be a single-lane closure on Durham Street to accommodate equipment. Please watch for flaggers. At times, Durham Street may be temporarily closed during work hours, with detours around the work zone. Local and emergency access will be maintained.
Holes will be covered and coned off at the end of each day. The street will be restored and holes patched as work is completed. Work dates and times are weather dependent.
