Night Work in Lake Oswego

A geotech drill working in the public right of way

Starting next week and off and on through May, a crew will be working along the proposed water pipeline route that runs along portions of McVey Avenue (from State Street to the Lake Corp. Dam), State Street (B Avenue to the railroad tracks) and through the Oswego Village Shopping Center (Albertsons). They will be digging small holes in the right of way (or parking lot) to locate utilities in the area and testing soils.  This is to ensure that the proposed route has no conflicts with existing utilities and is designed with adequate support.

Work will occur during nighttime hours between 8:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. There will be a single-lane closure along roads to accommodate equipment, but no total street closure. The road will be repaired as work progresses. Please watch for flaggers. Neighbors may hear noise from a drill rig or a vacuum truck during these operations. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding during this important pre-construction work.
