Water Treatment Plan Construction Update

Foreground: auger cast piles for the chemical building. Background: pouring walls for the ballasted flocculation building.

The walls in the clearwell are now complete! Work continues on installing shoring towers to support the formwork for the roof of the clearwell, in preparation for a concrete pour in the next few weeks and waterproofing the north walls of the clearwell.

Auger cast piles are also complete for the chemical building and electrical building foundations. No new auger cast piles will be drilled for the next few weeks, but the drill rig will remain on site.

Backfilling for the clearwell access ramp on the south side, near Mapleton Drive was completed last week. Form work and concrete pouring is the focus on-site over the next few weeks, for the clearwell, ballasted flocculation, gravity thickener, chemical building, mechanical dewatering and electrical building. Refer to the current site plan for locations of each structure.

Neighbors can expect some noise and potential vibration during concrete sandblasting, concrete pouring and forming and machinery operating on-site, depending on locations or personal sensitivities. Truck traffic will continue during concrete pouring for the new structures.

Work hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be no work tomorrow, Saturday, April 26.

For more detail about what activities are happening on site please see the table below. We apologize for the inconvenience construction may cause and thank you for your patience as work progresses.
