Pipeline Construction Update: Lake Oswego

Anode wires are installed along with the pipeline as part of the corrosion protection system. A low voltage current helps prevent corrosion, extending the life of the new pipeline.

This update includes construction work in the following areas. Scroll down for specific information on each location:

  • Lanewood Road/Douglas Circle
  • Twin Fir Road
  • Upper Drive
  • Iron Mountain Boulevard
  • Downtown Lake Oswego

For the most up to date information on construction and road closures, please visit work underway, call the hotline on 503-697-6502 or contact us.

Lanewood/Douglas Circle – trench patching completed!

Temporary trench paving is complete, with final roadway paving as weather improves.

Twin Fir Road – pipeline construction completed!

Temporary trench paving is complete, with final roadway paving as weather improves.

Upper Drive closed between Twin Fir and Iron Mtn. – pipeline construction

Pipeline construction is underway with a full road closure, and will continue through the week of May 19. During work hours, traffic will be detoured around this section of Upper Drive.

Iron Mountain Blvd. – pipeline construction with detour route.

Work is slower than expected for the westerly crew on Iron Mountain Blvd. due to rock. A detour route is in place around the work, between Berwick and Pine Valley. REMINDER: by late May, Iron Mountain Blvd. between Fairway Road and Summit will be closed to through traffic during work hours. The best way to avoid delays is to find an alternate route around the construction. To view the latest road closures and construction activity, visit the work underway map.

Downtown Lake Oswego – Night Work: exploratory digging and geologic investigations in May

Most of the geotechnical drilling work is done in this area, but crews will be drilling two bores along Foothills Road next week. Three bores in George Rogers Park and on Durham Street are awaiting cultural resource permits, which are anticipated next week.

We apologize for any inconvenience work may cause and thank you for your patience as construction progresses.
