West Linn Pipeline Construction Update: Mapleton Drive and Willamette River Crossing

Meet the Contractor Meeting – June 3

From June 2, the contractor will begin preconstruction activity at the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) staging area at the end of Mapleton Drive, just north of Mary S. Young Park. This will include mobilizing equipment, placing rock in preparation for the arrival of drilling equipment, installing security fencing and placing sound barriers.

Drilling work is expected to begin at the HDD site from June 18, including installing a pipe casing prior to drilling the actual tunnel. During this work, it will be very noisy for approximately ½ hour periods between 9 a.m. and mid-afternoon. Following each ½ hour period, there will be a couple of hours of welding, which is not as noisy. Immediate neighbors may also experience some vibration during the casing installation. This work will take about 2 weeks to complete. Work hours are 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, and Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Meet the Contractor meeting – June 3

Join us to meet representatives from Frank Coluccio Construction on Tuesday, June 3,
7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 19200 Willamette Drive, West Linn. This will be a good opportunity to learn about the pipeline work approach at the HDD site and Mapleton Drive, anticipated schedule, what to expect in the neighborhood and have your questions answered.

Please note, on June 3, there will be no 7:30 a.m. Burgerville neighborhood construction meeting. The Meet the Contractor meeting will be held in lieu of the Burgerville meeting.
