Lake Oswego Pipeline Construction Update
This update includes construction work in the following areas. Scroll down for specific information on each location:
- Upper Drive
- Iron Mountain Boulevard
- Downtown Lake Oswego
Upper Drive closed between Twin Fir and Iron Mtn. – pipeline construction
Crews are digging through rock that reaches all the way to the surface of the asphalt at the end of Upper Drive near the traffic circle, resulting in a longer than expected construction time. Please follow the detour that is in place and your flaggers' instructions. While crews will finish on Upper Dr. by the end of next week, they will then move into the traffic circle then past the Hunt Club, continuing down Iron Mtn. until mid-June. More information about traffic control through this area will be sent soon. To view the latest road closures and construction activity, visit the work underway map.
We realize that having two closures on either end of Iron Mtn. has been a burden on residents, particularly those in the Summit Drive and Village on the Lake areas, where there are only two ways to access the neighborhood. Flaggers are doing their best to keep people moving through to Lakeview, however, allowing a few extra minutes and following flaggers' instructions are good ways to avoid frustration. Thank you for your patience.
Iron Mountain Blvd. – pipeline construction with detour route
Iron Mtn. between Pine Valley and Summit Drive is closed during work hours, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday through July. Please find an alternate east/west route around the closure. Traffic to and from the Country Club and residences on Fairway will be flagged through at the Pine Valley side of the closure only. To view the latest road closures and construction activity, visit the work underway map.
Downtown Lake Oswego – Night work complete; two borings scheduled on Durham
Geotech and utility location work at night is complete. Two more geotechnical borings are scheduled for Friday May 30 on Durham Street. B Avenue businesses can expect a visit next week from the Outreach Team to say 'hi' and provide some preliminary information about the design and construction schedule for B Avenue water and stormwater pipelines.
We apologize for any inconvenience work may cause and thank you for your patience as construction progresses.
