HWY 43 - Exploratory digging and NW Natural gas relocation

Two crews will be working on Highway 43 in Lake Oswego and one crew in West Linn over, approximately, the next two weeks.

Northwest Natural Gas will be relocating a gas main on Hwy 43 between Glenmorrie Terrace and Cherry Lane in Lake Oswego.

LO Tigard Partnership crews are continuing to dig small holes in the roadway on Highway 43, progressing from Laurel St in Lake Oswego and working south to Mapleton Drive in West Linn. This work is to locate underground utilities and pipes, to ensure the pipeline route has no conflicts with existing utilities.

Exploratory digging & survey work - HWY 43 between Laurel St, Lake Oswego and Mapleton Drive, West Linn

Crews are continuing to dig small holes in the roadway on Highway 43, progressing from Laurel St in Lake Oswego and working south to Mapleton Drive in West Linn. This work is to locate underground utilities and pipes, to ensure the pipeline route has no conflicts with existing utilities.

Most of the work is occurring during the day between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday to Friday. Day work on Highway 43 will continue through June 20, including some surveying on the side of the roadway. Starting next week, work within the signaled intersections on Hwy 43, will also occur at night between 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The night work should take one week to complete. There will be single-lane closures where needed, to accommodate equipment but no total road closure.

Please watch for flaggers and expect some temporary delays during work hours. Residents and businesses may experience some noise from a drill rig or vacuum truck during these operations.

Starting on Wednesday June 11th, Northwest Natural Gas will be relocating a gas main on Hwy 43 between Glenmorrie Terrace and Cherry Lane in Lake Oswego. Work hours will be 9am – 2pm, Monday to Friday and work should take about 2 weeks to complete. During this time, expect some temporary delays as there will be a single lane closure to accommodate equipment.

Lake Oswego-Tigard Water Partnership crews are coordinating with ODOT and NW Natural on this work.
