Summit Drive and Village on the Lake areas – Water Shutoff Alert, June 10

Water service to about 220 residences located along Summit Drive and Village on the Lake, will be shutoff for about 8 hours from 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10. The purpose of the shutoff is to relocate a waterline to safely allow construction of a new, larger pipeline. Affected residents will receive a door hanger 24 hours prior to the shutoff, notifying you of the shutoff event.

Tips on how to prepare for a shutoff: Going without water also means going without sanitary facilities. When your shutoff door hanger arrives, fill a couple of 5 gallon buckets with water. This water can be used to flush toilets, wash hands, or for cooking and drinking.

Quarry Road and Douglas Way – pipeline construction starting soon!

Mid next week, crews will survey and saw-cut the asphalt where the pipe will be laid and deliver equipment. Starting from Tuesday, June 17 (after school is out), crews will begin installing pipe in Quarry Road, across the intersection with Douglas Way. This work should take about a week to complete. During this time, Quarry Road will be closed to through traffic between Oakridge Road and Galewood Street. Douglas Way will also be closed between Hallmark Drive and Quarry Road. Please watch for signage directing you safely around the work zone and expect some temporary delays.

Once pipe has been installed in the Quarry Road intersection, crews will progress east along Douglas Way toward Lake Grove Elementary. Quarry Road will reopen once crews are on Douglas Way.

Work along Douglas Way is expected to start from June 23 and continue through mid July. Access will be maintained for local residents, emergency vehicles and businesses located within closed areas.

Upper Drive – the road is now OPEN to through traffic, pipeline construction complete

Pipeline construction is now complete along Upper Drive and the road is open to through traffic! Road closure signs are currently being removed. Final paving of the entire road will occur as weather improves. We understand construction has been a burden for neighbors on Upper Drive and Fir Grove Court and we thank you for your patience during the work.

Iron Mtn. Blvd./Upper Drive/Lakeview Blvd. Traffic Circle – expect temporary delays

Currently, flaggers are guiding traffic through the circle while crews progress laying pipe on Iron Mountain Blvd, near the Hunt Club. The traffic circle should be reopened by the end of next week.
Traffic to the Hunt Club and residences on Summit Drive will be flagged through the work zone in this area. Please expect some temporary delays during the work.

Iron Mountain Blvd. – pipeline construction with detour route

Iron Mtn. between Pine Valley and Summit Drive is closed during work hours, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday through July. Please find an alternate east/west route around the closure. Traffic to and from the Country Club and residences on Fairway will be flagged through at the Pine Valley side of the closure only. To view the latest road closures and construction activity, visit the work underway map.

State Street - survey crews

Next Wednesday evening, June 11, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., survey crews will be working within the intersections at State Street and McVey, and State Street between the railroad and B Avenue. There may be single-lane closures during the work. Please watch for flaggers during this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience work may cause and thank you for your patience as construction progresses.
