Gas service line broken on 6/11/14

On Wednesday, a small residential gas service line not identified on the survey, was broken in Carman Drive. The break resulted in a work stoppage with Police, Fire and NW Natural Gas all on site to manage the situation. The line was repaired and work resumed. Our apologies to the unfortuate property owner, who we understand will be getting a new service after the Carman Drive work is done. Unfortunately, construction sometimes contains surprises like this.

Carman Drive roadwork – No eastbound traffic past Waluga/Bonita intersection

The installation of the storm drain manhole and pipe on Carman Drive, temporary road widening and striping is now occurring. When this work is happening on Carman, only the westbound lane on Carman will allow through traffic. Eastbound traffic on Carman, between Waluga/Bonita and the Meadows/Quarry Traffic Circle, will be detoured down Bonita Road. Work is expected to continue through 6/23/14, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please follow the designated detour routes.

Rock crusher arrives on site

The rock crusher will process the pile of rocks that has accumulated at the reservoir site. The crushed material will be used at the site, saving over 150 truck trips through the area. Neighbors may notice intermittent increases in noise during this work.

We apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause adn thank you for your patience during construction of this important water storage project.
