Waluga Reservoir 2 (WR2) Special Construction Update – Rock Crushing

Rock excavated from the WR2 site will be crushed and reused as fill material

In a sustainable effort to reuse natural resources from the WR2 site, crews will be crushing rock for several days next week. The crushed rock will then be used as fill material on site.

Neighbors can expect a slight increase in dust and noise from the WR2 site. The crews will be using water during the rock crushing process to help keep down the dust.

Work hours are 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday – Friday. We apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause and thank you for your patience during construction of this important water storage project.
