Waluga Reservoir 2 (WR2) Construction Update

The last interior wall forms were removed from the WR2 on Wednesday. Work will now begin on the roof shoring.

All WR2 walls are now up! Roof shoring support to begin

Crews poured the last wall early this week and have stripped all of the exterior and interior forms. Now that the walls are complete, work will begin on the roof support. This work is expected to take approximately 15 working days. Over the next two weeks, a couple of trucks per day will arrive at the site to deliver or remove materials such as shoring forms, rebar and pipe materials.

Pipeline connections

Crews have begun constructing pipeline connecting the new WR2 to the existing WR1. Over the next two weeks, crews will be forming the walls and roof of the pipe vault (shown in the photo below), placing reinforcing steel and pouring the vault concrete. The concrete pour will occur the week of October 20, Neighbors can expect 7-8 concrete trucks arriving and leaving the site during the one-day pour.

The last week of October, pipe installation will begin between WR1 and the end of Parkhill Drive, to connect to existing pipes in Parkhill that serve Tigard residents and businesses.
