West Linn Pipeline Construction Update

Asphalt saw-cutting

Construction updates include all current or upcoming pipeline work for the project in West Linn.

  • Highway 43 pipeline construction - expected to start in West Linn around mid-Dec.
  • Neighborhood Construction Meetings - next meeting Dec. 2

Highway 43 pipeline construction – expected to start in West Linn around mid-Dec.

Due to pipe availability and production delays, crews are now expected to begin installing pipe on Highway 43 near Mapleton Drive in West Linn around mid-December. This crew will work northbound toward Lake Oswego. We will provide an update on the expected start date once more information is known.

The first crew installing pipe on Highway 43 in Lake Oswego began earlier this month. At the moment, work is progressing slowly due to difficult conditions.

Most major work on Highway 43 will be conducted at night, Sunday evening through Friday morning 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. Per ODOT approval and to minimize nighttime noise, in most locations saw-cutting of the asphalt may occur during the day (pictured above), for short durations from Monday - Friday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. During intermittent day work, there may be single lane closures in place, but two-way traffic should be maintained in most areas.

There will be no work on Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving or Saturday, Nov. 29.

Neighborhood Construction Meetings—next meeting on Dec. 2

The next neighborhood construction update meeting will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 a.m. in the downstairs restaurant area at Burgerville, 18350 Willamette Drive, West Linn. Please come along to stay updated on construction progress in West Linn and ask questions of the project team. There will be no meeting on Dec. 16.
