Waluga Reservoir coming together inside and out
Waluga Reservoir 2 (WR2) Construction Update
Crews have removed the scaffolding and shoring inside the WR2 that were needed to support the roof and have hauled the materials off site. Over the next few weeks, they will install the reservoir’s mixing manifold and pipe supports.
WR2 wrapping and roof
The cable wrapping of WR2 is complete and the last of the shotcrete has been applied. Crews are now working on the roof to install the remaining roof hatches as well as the lightning proctection.
At the end of March, the pipe vault that connects the WR2 to Tigard’s water system will be poured, including floor and walls, structural steel will be installed, and, upon completion, painted.
Please note: For the safety of hikers and park visitors, the entrace to the Parkhill path will be closed over the next several weeks as crews excavate in the area in preparation for the new water pipeline.
