  • Milton Court

Bonita Road Pipeline

On Monday, crews will begin night work, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., along the pipeline alignment on Bonita Road, between the railroad tracks and 72nd Avenue. Initial work includes exploratory digging to ensure the pipeline route does not conflict with existing utilities and, later in the week, switching water services for a few businesses along Bonita Road.

During this time, crews may be using a vacuum truck, excavator and other typical construction equipment. Steel plates will be placed in the road while crews are not actively working in the area. The eastbound lane of Bonita Road will be closed during work hours. Traffic will routed onto 74th Avenue and Durham Road. Please expect some temporary delays.

Later this month, a work pit will be excavated in the center lane of Bonita Road near 74th Avenue. This pit will be used by crews to install the pipeline underneath the railroad tracks using an auger bore. More information will be provided soon regarding duration, work hours and traffic control.

Bonita Pump Station

Crews continue to work on the electrical and HVAC systems inside the pump station. Structural steel for the roof decking will be installed next week and work will be done on the standing seam metal roof. Pressure testing of the waterlines at the pump station will also occur next week.

Milton Court

In the next few weeks, the storm work will be completed on Milton Court and crews will begin demolishing existing curbs and preparing the area for new curbs as well as the final repaving. The final paving and curb installation is weather dependent.

About Bonita Pump Station

The Bonita Pump Station will connect with several local water systems including Lake Oswego, Portland and Washington County. This supply collaboration will keep Tigard protected should one water supply become interrupted. Completion is expected in summer 2015.
