Public Art Dedication Video – now online!
This summer, the Partnership held a public art and cultural resources exhibit dedication in George Rogers Park. Thanks to the time and talents of many people, this event was able to create a long-lasting tribute to Lake Oswego’s first peoples, and help educate community members about the area’s unique history. To mark this significant project milestone, we’ve created a video capturing the event and the story behind the sculpture. You are invited to view the video at www.lotigardwater.org/?e=757. The Partnership has shared the video on its website as well as its Facebook and Twitter accounts—the Partnership would love for you to share it with your colleagues, neighbors and friends as well!
Pavement Restoration - State Street and Foothills Road
This week, crews began restoring the pavement where the pipe was installed on State Street, from B Avenue to the railroad tracks, just before Foothills Road. This work will continue tonight as well as early next week. Work hours are 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday. During this time, lane closures will be in place, and the traffic signals at B Avenue, A Avenue and Foothills Road will be turned off. Flaggers will guide traffic through these intersections. Afterwards, the pavement restoration is expected to continue on Foothills Road and the parking lot behind the Lakewood Bay Shopping Center.
Oswego Village Shopping Center - nighttime pipeline construction complete, restoration begins soon
Crews made great progress and the pipeline installation through the Oswego Village Shopping Center and up the nearby ramp is complete! Soon, this portion of pipeline will be tested and crews will begin restoration of the parking lot where the pipe was laid, which includes repaving and restriping. Businesses will remain open during construction.
To minimize traffic and business impacts, most work will occur from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday. Steel plates may be present in the parking lots and roadway. Please drive with caution through the active work zones and obey flagger’s directions.
Old Town Neighborhood - pipeline construction begins in early October
Pipeline construction through the Old Town neighborhood, along Durham Street, will begin in early October. Work hours in Old Town are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Two blocks will be closed at a time during construction hours, however, neighbor access will be maintained at all times. Neighbors should expect to see and hear heavy equipment and vehicles, dump trucks, and materials, such as pipe, steel plates and gravel, during construction.
