Concrete pours progressing for new structures at the WTP

Structural steel and decking for the administration building being installed.

The area around the clearwell will be backfilled.

Water Treatment Plant Construction Update

Information about onsite work includes:

Administration building – north of site

Crews are installing structural steel and decking for the administration building. During this work, neighbors may notice an intermittent metal-on-metal like noise as crews install the steel and rebar. Soon, the second story slab will be formed and poured.

Washwater recovery basin – northwest of site

Auger cast pile drilling was completed last week for the washwater basin. This week, a layer of gravel was placed to create a working surface for the foundation as well as around the edge of the washwater basin. Over the next few weeks, crews will begin forming and pouring concrete for the slabs.

New filters – northwest of site

Large concrete pours continue for the filter walls, with several trucks arriving and departing the site. Next week, crews will begin installing the shoring support for the suspended slabs.

Backfilling the clearwell – south of site

The week of October 19, crews will backfill the remaining area around the clearwell. During this activity, neighbors located close to the site on Mapleton Drive may experience an increase in vibration and noise as the fill is placed and compressed.
