State Street, Foothills Road, Oswego Village Shopping Center - restoration and cleanup work
Crews have been working on restoration and cleanup activities along State Street, Foothills Road and in the Oswego Village Shopping Center. Paving is now complete in these areas. Some final striping in the shopping center parking lot will be placed in the coming week, and ADA ramps on State Street and Foothills Road will be poured. ADA ramp work will take place from 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday with single lane closures. Please watch for flaggers.
Durham Street – pipeline construction moving steadily along!
Pipeline construction on Durham Street is about to enter the Wilbur Street intersection! Crews have been making great progress, laying up to three sticks of pipe a day!
Work hours on Durham Street are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. During pipe construction, there are rolling street closures with detours in place. Currently, Durham Street between Church and Ladd Streets is closed to through traffic. During work hours, neighbors can expect to see and hear heavy equipment and vehicles, dump trucks, and materials, such as pipe, steel plates and gravel.
Ladd Street and George Rogers Park – construction starting early November!
Crews are expected to begin installing pipe along Ladd Street in early November and continue through George Rogers Park and Green Street. During construction, Ladd Street will be closed to through traffic with detours in place. While crews work in George Rogers Park, sections of the park will be fenced off or will have steel plates in place. Some parking will be reduced along Green Street and in the park while equipment and materials are temporarily stored in the area.
State Street crossing and McVey Avenue – construction to begin soon
Once crews work through George Rogers Park and Green Street, they will begin installing pipe across State Street and along McVey Avenue to Erickson Street. Work in this area is expected to begin in late November, however, schedules are subject to change. To minimize impacts to traffic, work on the State Street crossing will occur at night, 8 p.m. – 5 a.m., Monday to Friday. Lane closures will be in place during work hours, with flaggers guiding traffic.
For work on McVey Avenue, some activities are expected to take place at night, and some during the day. Stay tuned for more information regarding the McVey Avenue work schedule.
McVey Avenue pipe bridge – pouring footings
Over the next few weeks, crews will resume pouring footings for the McVey Avenue pipe bridge. This work will be done during the day between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday – Friday.
