Night Construction Begins on State Street
State Street crossing between Green Street and McVey Avenue
Starting Monday, Nov. 16, crews will install pipe across State Street and along McVey Avenue at night. Work hours are 8 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. During this time, the traffic signal at State Street and McVey Avenue will be turned off, lane closures will be in place, and flaggers will direct traffic through the intersection. This portion of construction is expected to take about a week. To maintain safety, please drive slowly through the work area and obey flagger directions.

McVey Avenue Pipeline Construction
Upon completion on the State Street crossing, crews will continue night work progressing up McVey Avenue towards Erickson Street. Work hours on McVey are 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. During night construction, crews will strive to keep noise to a minimum, however, neighbors should expect to see and hear heavy equipment and vehicles, dump trucks, and materials, such as pipe, steel plates and gravel. Pipeline construction on McVey Avenue is expected to continue through early 2016.
McVey Avenue Pipe Bridge Construction
Over the next few weeks, crews will continue to form and pour footings for the McVey Avenue pipe bridge. This work will be done during the day between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Thanksgiving Work Hours
In observance of Thanksgiving, there will be no construction from the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 25 through Sunday, Nov. 29.
