Mapleton Drive pipeline complete, road open, restoration underway!
Pipeline construction is now complete on Mapleton Drive! Late last week, crews and staff gathered to sign the final connection on Mapleton Drive, near Highway 43.Testing is now complete and the finished water pipe will soon be placed into service!
With the major pipe work now complete, the road is OPEN to through traffic! Detour and closure signage will be removed by the end of the week. Thank you to neighbors for your patience during the pipeline work and the road closure.
Although the road is now open to through traffic, neighbors can expect to see crews along Mapleton Drive over the coming weeks as they finish their cleanup and restoration. This includes restoring the right-of-way, placing temporary pavement patches, finishing vault cleanup and removing equipment. During this time, single lane closures may be present in areas where crews are working. Please watch for flaggers.
Final paving of the roadway on Mapleton Drive will be conducted by the City of West Linn and its contractors, expected sometime this summer. For more information about paving, please contact the City of West Linn Public Works Department on 503-722-550.
Work hours on Mapleton Drive are 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
Upcoming sewer scope inspection work
At the request of the City of West Linn, over the coming weeks, a contractor will be inspecting the sanitary sewer on Mapleton Drive. A scope will be placed between manholes, along the length of Mapleton Drive. Neighbors will notice inspection equipment, work vehicles and crews opening manholes. There may be intermittent single lane closures during this work. The scope inspection is expected to take two-three days to complete. No sewer services are expected to be impacted during this work.
Neighborhood meetings – new frequency
Meetings are now held once a month at the Robinwood Station, 3706 Cedaroak Drive, West Linn, on the third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.
The next neighborhood meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 15 at 6 p.m.
