Truck traffic route reminder: with major pipeline construction on Mapleton Drive complete and the road open to through traffic, the WTP contractor will resume using Mapleton Drive to enter the WTP construction site, and Kenthorpe Way to exit the site.

Administration building – north of site

Architectural work is progressing on the administration building. Frames and windows are almost complete! Siding and brick veneer placement is underway, and will continue over the coming weeks. Inside the structure, sheet rock has been installed and painting is taking place.

Miscellaneous piping and site work

The electrical duct bank has been installed from the electrical building to the administration building. Crews will now begin installing a water line for the administration building – located on the north side of the structure. Work involves excavating, placing pipe, and backfilling the trench. Neighbors close to the site on Kenthorpe Way should expect an increase in noise and vibration during these activities.

This spring, curb and gutter improvements are expected to take place along both the Mapleton and Kenthorpe frontages of the site. This is in preparation for the street resurfacing that will be conducted by the City of West Linn this summer. Over the coming months, crews will begin placing new site walls and preparing some areas for hardscaping and landscaping improvements across the site.

Washwater recovery basin – northwest of site

Concrete masonry blocks are now in place for the walls of the pump room at the south end of the washwater basin (pictured left). Crews will soon begin installing the roof trusses, decking and weather barrier coatings. Neighbors should expect some intermittent metal-on-metal noise during the roof work.

New filters – northwest of site

The last major concrete pour for the filters is expected to take place next week! Mechanical and structural work continues in the filter gallery. Over the next week, crews will be backfilling the south side of the filters – located in the center of the site. Neighbors may notice an increase in vibration during this activity.

Finished water pump station and clearwell – south of site

Startup and testing of the clearwell, surge tank and finished water pump station is underway and continues over the next month.
