McVey Avenue gets a facelift

Lake Oswego Pipeline Construction: Paving Update

Final paving and restoration on McVey Avenue and the State Street/Mcvey Avenue intersection

Due to weather, the final portion of paving on McVey Avenue has been rescheduled until next week. Weather permitting, crews plan to pave McVey Avenue, from Erickson Street to State Street and the McVey Avenue/State Street intersection Monday, May 9 through Wednesday, May 11. Work hours on McVey Avenue and State Street are 8 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Paving schedules include preparing/grinding the existing asphalt and placing the new pavement. Lane closures will be present during paving, to allow equipment to operate and the new pavement to dry. During the McVey Avenue and State Street crossing nighttime paving, the traffic signal at the intersection will be turned off and traffic will be flagged. Please expect delays in this area.

Once the paving is complete, striping and traffic signal loops will be installed. This is weather dependent.
