Water Treatment Plant Construction Update

Information about onsite work is outlined below. Please note, schedules are subject to change.

Ozone system - northeast of site

Work continues to progress on the new ozone system. New equipment is being installed inside the structures. The contractor and water treatment plant staff are preparing to begin testing and commissioning the new state-of-the-art ozone system, which will be online in the coming months.

Architectural siding and pearl panels are being placed on the exterior of the ozone generator building. The brick veneer is complete. Frames and glass are being installed for the windows.

Miscellaneous duct bank and piping work continues around the new ozone structures and administration building. During these activities, neighbors close to the site should expect some noise and vibration during work hours.

Site improvements and hardscaping

Hardscaping and site improvements are ongoing across the site. Site improvements include stone walls, sidewalks, catch basins, curbs, site walls and hardscaping work. These activities involve digging and preparing the site, placement of materials, forming, compacting, pouring concrete and saw-cutting stone. During this work, neighbors close to the site should expect an increase in intermittent noise and vibration from equipment.

Crews have been clearing out the temporary storage shed located in the southwest corner of the site. In the next few weeks, the shed will be removed. Neighbors close to the site should expect an increase in noise and possible vibration during the removal of the shed.
